Deacon requests Pontifical Dispensation

To all the Faithful of the Archdiocese

Beloved in Christ:

I wish to inform you that, for personal reasons, Deacon Jeffrey L. Loyd has requested of the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, a pontifical dispensation from the obligations arising from Sacred Ordination in the Order of Deacon.

In consequence, effective today, Sunday October 30th 2011, he will no longer function as a Deacon.

I respect his decision and I offer him my gratitude for his years of service as a Deacon in the Archdiocese. I ask that you all join me in granting him the support of our prayers at this time.
